For starters your problem is that is an Amana *serial number*, NOT a model number.
You need to find the exact model number off the label on the refrigerator and then you will have more luck. Sometimes you have to hunt for it, even remove drawers to see it on the wall. On newer ones it is at the top front of the refrigerator. Bottom freezers tend to have it in the freezer so you have to get down on the floor.
You have to be able to stick your head in and look up to see it sometimes.
I think the Amana model numbers look something like AXD2425DEW.
With letters, numbers, and letters.
Amana did ALSO use the serial number because they will make changes on the models during production and certain serial number ranges may differ. So you may need both.
Good luck.
Ps look for recyclers or used appliance stores near you for used parts.
I do know a couple. Take highway 9 north and at the main light in Lake Stevens turn left, then….. LOL. I don’t even know what country you are in, or you, me.

Linda asks…
How can I fix my Amana Refrigerator? ?
I have an Amana fridge that is not cooling properly. It stays below freezing in the freezer only on the coldest setting and the fridge part keeps things barely cool. I can not even possibly have a repair man come out here as I live WAY out in the bush (meaning 2 hrs from most appliance repair places) I need to get this fixed and don’t know where to start. Please be courteous with your answers. Thanks
It is a freezer on top model and I have already cleaned the coils under the fridge. Thanks

If your freezer is still cold then the defrost heater is not staying on. Most likely your fan in the freezer is not working or defrost system is not working. If you open the freezer and hear a fan on with the compressor running, then your fan is ok. If the compressor is running and no fan noise, then you need to get a new fan. If the fan is running then most likely you have a defrost problem. For the time being, just unplugged the unit and remove the back wall of the freezer section. With the back cover removed look at the evap coils. If they are covered in frost then your defrost heater is not coming on. You can take a hair dryer and defrost the coils or leave the unit unplugged with the doors open for 24 hours. If you do have frost built up then there is a problem with the bimetal switch, heater, or defrost timer. Good luck, hope this helps

Can someone help me figure out what’s wrong with my oven?
I have an Amana gas oven/range, model ARG7300W, mfg P1143320N W. The range part works great, but the oven is having problems maintaining temperature. It heats up part-way, then maintains a lower temperature than what I’ve set it to. For example, I set it to 375 degrees and it goes to maybe 225. I think the problem is with the thermostat, but I don’t know appliances well enough to be sure.

admin answers:
When the temperature is that far off you need to replace the thermostat. There however could be another reason for this problem. Turn the oven on and leave the door open and listen for when the burner ignites. It should light within 30-60 seconds. If it is taking longer than 60 seconds your ignitor is at fault and should be changed. If it lights within the 30-60 seconds your thermostat is at fault. The part number for the thermostat is 0316507. The part number for the ignitor is 31940001.
