how many watts does the Magic Chef 4.0 cu ft refrigerator uses. Model Number: MCBR415SF I can’t it anywhere?
I would be using this in a concession trailer, running off of a battery bank of deep cycle 12v marine batteries.Thank you for viewing and helping me with this.
yes a generator is typically very loud, and I can’t afford to spend $3000 on a Honda generator. It will be going in a mobile food trailer, i did alot of research and it appears that a deep cycle marine battery with an output of 105ah would last about 20 hours hooked up to a dc inverter. however the calculation is based on 120 watts, which if it’s 120volt current, it should only be 120 watts as well. I’m gonna have to go and look at the back of this fridge and see if it has anything on it

Start with the manufacturer’s website. If there is no section to enter it, email and ask them. Try a google search. There is the blue book for cars, maybe there is one for everything esle.

Refrigerator fan stays running and things aren’t cold?
I have a side by side Magic Chef refrigerator about 9 years old. What I’m about to explain has happened twice, this will be the third time unplugged. After about a week running normal where things are keeping cold and frozen, the fan will start to continuously run and the temp will start to drop and things will thaw. I unplug the refrigerator and wait about 24 hours and I will see a puddle of water underneath the refrigerator I’m guessing from the build up of ice on the coils or something. I plug it back in and it works fine for about 2 weeks and it happens again. I had it blown out with a compressor and it still does this. Could it be the thermostat if it has one and where, or need more Freon and can I refill without a service person, or is it the compressor? I do notice that I can tell when its going to start to thaw out because the fan continuously runs. The model number is: Magic Chef GS20Y8D also, is there a website that shows you diagrams, instructions and chat on how to do it yourself at home on this model that anyone is aware of. Thanks in advance

What is happening is in the freezer you are builing ice up on the coils and when the ice gets thick enough it insulates the coils so no heat transfer occurs and your freezer warms up, and then your fridge. To fix this make sure you completly thaw out your freezer. If you can see the coils try using a hair dryer to speed up the process. Once it is defrosted make sure to dry the freezer and fridge out good. If yo udo not get all the water out, this problem will happen again in a short amount of time.
